Sign on northbound approach to J8. This is the back of the southbound J7 exit gantry.

J7 southbound. The left through lane is only signed for destinations at J6 - by implication, the Ring Road is just a single lane each way with auxilliary lanes between and through junctions.

Medieval Spon Street. Surviving old buildings from the city centre were salvaged and rebuilt here, just inside the Inner Ring Road. Spon Street continues outside the Inner Ring Road, with a pedestrian underpass between J7 and J8.
